I pride myself on selecting caregivers for this center whose special sensitivity to children is unmatched. Our caregivers are specially trained, nurturing, positive in nature and understand children’s needs. We employ those who value working as a team with parents, colleagues and volunteers.
As Center Director here at the Crayon Campus for 11 years, I am certified in early childhood education and have an additional 12 credits in early childhood courses. I also hold an Associate Degree and have worked for the Raymond School District for 11 years — the first two years with the YMCA Afterschool Program and nine years within the special needs/inclusion preschool program.
Yvonne Brown is an Assistant Teacher that works with our infants. Yvonne is married and has one daughter, one son and one grand daughter. She has been a wonderful addition, with her kind, caring and loving way with our smallest friends here at the Crayon Campus.
Alicia Priebie is an Assistant Teacher that works with the todder and a preschool children. She is my oldest daughter and has a two year old daughter that attends here at the center. She is taking online workshops to help gain information to aid in her position.
Kayte Larrabee is our Lead Teacher in the toddler room and has the pleasure in working with our very special 1 to 2 and a half year olds. Kayte comes with vast experience and easily gets down to the level of our toddlers. Kayte has two sons, one that attends here at the center.
Each staff member here is required to complete pediatric CPR and first aid certification as well as undergo a criminal-background check. It is my role as the center director and also the staff to cultivate relationships and bonds with all the parents, friends and loved ones of any child enrolled at Crayon Campus. I hold this position with the highest regard for education and hope to pass it on to all who attend here.
